BETTING ON POLITICAL FUTURES: WILL THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE USA LAY THE SMACK DOWN?

June 21, 2021

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson began his career in entertainment as a professional wrestler with the (then) World Wrestling Federation in November 1997. Given his current status as one of the biggest stars on earth it may be surprising to learn he didn’t meet with immediate success.

Debuting as a smiling “good guy” he was not met with cheers from the fans. In fact, the fans hated him and often chanted “Rocky sucks.” It wasn’t until later on when he became a “bad guy” and started developing his interview skills that he went to the top.

Over the years Johnson hasn’t had much time for wrestling as he’s turned into a mega Hollywood star. But he has mentioned running for President on numerous occasions, with The Guardian quoting him on April 12, 2021:

“I do have that goal to unite our country and I also feel that if this is what the people want, then I will do that.”

Newsweek reported on April 7, 2021: “46% Want Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as President, as He Floats Potential Run”

Betonline.ag currently has Johnson at +1000 to run for President and +4000 to win the Presidency. There are no odds on party nomination because no one is certain what party he would try to obtain the nomination from. The odds aren’t that long for a celebrity Presidential bid, but I would not bet against Johnson should he choose to run.

As someone who has followed his career from the beginning I believe this - if he runs he will almost certainly win.
