THE CIRCA EXPERIENCE: NFL SUNDAY CHAMPIONS CLUB TABLE REVIEW

December 9, 2021

Seat map for Circa Sportsbook - we were at the corner table in the blue/purple shade.

I met up with an old friend in Vegas last month and he surprised me by renting a "Champions Club" corner table at Circa for NFL Sunday on November 14, 2021.

There was a bit of confusion since the reservation stated we should be there by 8AM(!), but that was cleared up and we were encouraged to be there by 9AM. You have to check in at the top of the stairs, a process that took less than 5 minutes.

We were escorted to our table and told someone would be along to help us shortly. Walking into Circa Sportsbook shocks the senses. I've read they spent $20 million on their screens and I doubt don't that after being there. It takes a few minutes to get used to looking up at the giant images but you won't have trouble seeing any detail of any game.

As promised a server came around with plenty of water bottles and asked what we wanted to drink and eat (the table price includes food and beverage). While on the topic of food I'll list the three meals I had:

Breakfast - Sausages wrapped in French toast. Like all food orders this came out fresh and fast. These were perfect dipped in syrup.

Lunch - Bratwurst & Chips. The bratwurst itself was excellent but I neglected to examine the menu. I would have asked for it with simple mustard, only. It came with some strange sauce on it, with peppers. Having lived in Germany this was... odd. I suppose the menu must take into consideration vulgar American tastes. ;) But it was still rather tasty, and any fault with it is on me.

Early Dinner - Chicken Wings. The staff were good enough to inform us of last call for food so we all had an early dinner. The wings were just right. The menu is advertised as "stadium food" and it more than lived up to it.

The drink service was well above average. I had Jack & Coke and it was well poured. After experiencing resorts and "packages" that pretended Jack Daniels was some sort of top shelf premium liquor this was a welcome change.

Our corner table had plenty of room, with storage underneath for the large paper bags they brought food in, so when we were finished we could place them there until the server visited to collect it. The booth seemed to be made of quality materials - one might label it "luxury seating."

My only real action early was Cleveland and they humiliated themselves. I suppose that's what one deserves for taking the Browns. The atmosphere was good, not quiet but not too loud. Circa allows smoking in their sportsbook - another bonus.

We tipped our server at the end of her shift (no need to tip them every round, they'll let you know when they are leaving so you may tip them then). Every gambling trip is greatly enhanced by winning and lucky for our table we were all over the underdogs this Sunday in the late games - Carolina, Minnesota, Philadelphia. 2 winning weekends in a row. Later on I was reading how horrible November was for gamblers in the NFL. I suspect that's probably because they take favorites far too often.
