FOOTBALL REPORT 10/8/21
What a terrible weekend - 2-3 in the Betonline MEGA CONTEST. Some observations from the past weekend:
- It's time for Big Ben to retire. Isn't it obvious from watching the man that he just doesn't have what it takes any more? The Steelers are not setting themselves up for future success by allowing him to hang on.
- Little Jimmy G. is incapable of making it through a season unscathed. Trey Lance gets the start at Arizona this Sunday and we think he'll at least play well enough to cover the 5.5.
- Did you watch the end of the Boston College @ Clemson game? BC was on track for a big win... until QB Grosel panicked and couldn't handle a simple snap. What a letdown.
- The Cleveland Browns really appear to be Super Bowl contenders. Clowney and Garrett are both questionable this weekend and are key to Cleveland's success. Other than that what may hold them back is the QB they drafted 1st overall.
- Urban Meyer may not be able to win a game with Jacksonville but at least he's having fun. What sort of head coach doesn't fly home with the team after a regular season game?
- Does Denver coach Vic Fangio have early onset Alzheimer's? After trying to score late he criticized the Ravens for... executing a running play at the end of the game.
- Mike Vrabel needs to get a handle on his Titans. They're one of those schizo teams that wins the games they're supposed to lose, then loses the games they're supposed to win.
- Is S&HR the only one to bet LA Chargers Super Bowl futures? Those wagers are looking very interesting now.
